Lucky Guesthouse, Trapper Creek, AK

We were very happy with accommodations Positive: Quiet - set away from things, surrounded by flowers and nature Negative: Distance to Talkeentia and grocery store

Positive: Everything

Lucky Guesthouse is set off the main highway about a half mile or so and is surrounded by tall trees and a nice front porch. The guesthouse has a full kitchen, nice bathroom, a dining/living area, good WiFi, a bedroom downstairs and two twin beds upstairs in a low ceilinged loft. There’s also a nice flat screen tv but we didn’t use it. We used the coffee maker, a Keurig, and enjoyed coffee in the morning. We were just there for one night so basically in and out. There is a nice store right down the road and they have a nice wine selection as well as take to go fresh hot pizza, made to order. It was delicious. We’d not hesitate to stay there again. Owner was very responsive as I did have a couple of questions. We felt very safe and comfortable there.

Nice cabin but disappointing for its size and value. Positive: Very clean, nicely decorated. Bed was awesome. Negative: The cabin, lack structural cross bracing. When somebody walks across the floor, I could feel the whole cabin shifting and swaying . They gave us an uneasy sense the safety . The shower was unnecessarily too small. Definitely could have utilized part of the under utilized bedroom closet.
